Shopping

Today, I went to shopping malls to buy something by all means. In winnipeg, there are a few buese on weekend more than weekday, and also most shops close the doors early. Anyway, first, I went to Polopark, which is the biggiest shopping mall in winnipeg. There are so many people to buy somthing, to talk with their friends, to eat somthing, and etc... I ate some hotdogs hand made for my brunch at the foodcourt, which is located at second floor. It was really good. Although I didn't eat anything until I ate these hotdogs, I was really full after I ate. Finally, I was ready to start shopping. During my shopping time, I had to do my homework which is about window of shop. So, I looked detaily to make sure to distinguish among many stores. Even if polopark mall is very big, I couldn't find somthing that I like even I stayed at there for about 4hours hahahaha... so, secondly, I went to st.vital center mall. That shopping mall is my favorite place because there is very close from my homestay. Just this reason.. :)    'Lids' is one of my favorite stores because I like hat. Now, I have one cap, so I thought I want to buy one more cap! Eventually, I bought it. I love it........ Maybe, guys can see my new cap because I will put on the cap tomorrow! And also, I bought a short sleeve T-shirt. It was little cheap. Anyway, today, I went to two big shopping malls, so I get tiredness. However, it was good time because I bought something that I love it. hahaha :) See you tomorrow.!!!

Boring?Interesting?Holiday

               Last Sunday, I went to downtown to study and search something at the millenium library, but I forgot that that day was eastern day. So, every stores, even the library didn't open the door. I and my girlfriend felt so miserable. We went back to university cresent. I was very hungry because I didn't eat breakfast and lunch. She was okay, for she has already eaten lunch at her church. Finally, we got to McDonald, which is located at university cresent, to eat something. I ordered a big mac meal.When I go to there, I always eat that menu. :) hahaha. I think I am almost addicted to eat hamburer. Oh my god.. my weight... I need to lose my weight. Since I arrived in Canada, I have gotten too much weights. Anyway, we discussed our next step while I was eating the hamburger.


               Suddenly, an idea came to my head. St.vital center's movie theater, silva city, always opens even if the day is one of the national hoildays, so we decided to go there. We agonized which movie we should select to watch between Titans and Hunger Game. Finally, we decided to watch Hunger Game. It was little cruel, but It was funny. Although I couldn't understand all of the conversations in the movie, it was great. After that, we went to the Applebee's. Before we left university cresent, we checked if the restaurant was opened or not, so we knew if it was opened. I went to there before just one time because the Seongil's farewell dinner party. Anyway, we had a good time.^^  :D

How to choose a major

          I am going to talk about a major. Today, many of students who graudated high school go to college or university, and also a student who wants to go them have to select his/her own major. Some of students don't know which major they really want, so they can choose wrong majors for them. And, some of them choose their major for money without reference to their interest. Even though making money is very important to live, we have to think whether a job that is just for earning money is good thing or not. You will not feel happy that kind of job surely. think we need a few steps to decide right major for each person. we have to remind our memory until high school. Every people may have favorite subject. Knowing interesting thing is very important about choosing a major. For example, a person who is very good at math and physics may choose a engineering major. Each people has strong points and weak points. We have to use our strong points to select majors. In my opinion, knowing what you like and want to be is very important for choosing major.

Hard Work

Last Friday, we went to Wonbin's home to help his housework after school. It was very windy day even if it was shiny. Our work was carrying soil to back yard for making lawn yard. For lawn, first, we had to put soil at the bottom. there were two piles of soil mountain that was very huge in front of his home's garage. It was so amazing, and I felt it was little terrible at the same time. Anyway, we started to carry the soil. We worked about two hours, and then we ate supper. Eating after working is always very delicious. After supper, we started again, but moon came to us; it began to dark, so we couldn't work continuously. After taking a shower, we drank some beers. It was very tired, so I slept very fast. Saturday was come. Because we have to finish this work until today, we started it from the morning. I suspected if we can do it all until today or not. However, I could figure out that the piles of soil was getting small. And at the same time, I could also see the back yard which was covered with soil; it was getting expand. Finally, we finished back yard's work. And we worked to cover side and some of front part. Even though it was little hard than the work for backyard. Andway, we could finish the whole work very well. That day was also very windy, so our face, hair, and even teeth was covered with some soil. My whole body was also very tired, but my mind was filled with pride. I felt relly great about having completed this job successfully. Although my body was tired, I was very happy.

Living on campus and living off campus.

     Almost of IEP students live school residence or homestay. I think both cases have benefits and drawbacks. Now, I am living off campus, homestay. I think homestay depends on your fortune. If you go to bad homestay, you might have many troubles such as food or noise. In contrast, if you go to good homestay, you will satisfy, and also we might experience about foreign culture; it will probably helpful for you in many sides. Otherwise, in residence, you can meet many other foreign students. when I visited my friend's residence room, however, it was sooooooo noisy. I think soundproof system is really bad, so if you can't stand noise, living on campus will not good. Other point is about transportation. Of course, as you know, there are so many buses that go to university of manitoba. So, if you live on campus, you don't have to worry about missing the last bus at very late night. But, if you live in homestay, you have to consider baout that. And also, it depends on you fortune. If school introduce a homestay that is located very good site to you, going to downtown or somewhere that you want to go is very useful. But, If not, you have to blame you fortune. hahah :) Therefore, in my opinion, living in good homestay is the best place which you live, living on campus is middle, and staying in bad homestay is the worst thing.

Dear our friends...

      Last saturday, almost half of our classmates went back to their countries. Farewell is always not happy. But, we didn't say, "say goodbye." In stead of this word, we said, " See you someday." This year, a lot of my friends went back because they finished this program, IEP. On january, february, and march, one of my korean friends have gone on each month. Before we go our separate ways, we promised that if we visit our countries, we will become our hometown's guides. I felt emptiness. But, if I try to meet them after I go back to korea, I can meet them. So, it was not very sad. On very early of march, however, it was a peak. Every TKU students left. In these case, our nationality are different, so meeting again is little hard. The last day when they leave canada, almost of them cried; it was so sad because we had many good memories together. I still miss them so much.  And I thought time was so fast. At this time, many classmates left again. Although I didn't close all of them, I hope everything that they do is going to be alright.

What is your opinion about Facebook?

            Nowadays, a lot of people use Facebook, which is one of the most popluar social network service in the world. In Korea, many many people also use facebook now. Just about 1 year ago, facebook was not very popualr in Korea, but now is different. I think that on facebook, there are many useful things. People who use facebook contact with people who they already knew, and they even make friends who didn't know before via facebook. Todays, people can use this program anywhere because we can use facebook not only by using our computer but also by using our cell phone. Smart phone is a right-hand woman because social network service is very brisk after smart phone was created. Of course, using facebook has some drawbacks. For example, there can be a person who is addicted to like this program; it is very dangerous. The person can use this program during all his/her break time or even all time. The person might get an anxiety that comes from what he/she can't check facebook. Even if this emotion can light very first time, it can be a very serious problem by passing time. However, I think that there are a huge number of beneficial things which you can get by using facebook. Naturally, you can contact with your friends or family very easily. Also, you might get many interesting and useful news on facebook. Even, you can play some simple and funny games when you are bored. Therefore, in my opinion, facebook is very useful program.

My last saturday.

       Last saturday was very nice weather; the degree was almost 20 C, so I couldn't just stay at home. I needed some energy. I thought where the best place is to go in this fantastic weather. The conclusion was a park. I've already gone to st.vital park. At this time, we chose other place where we go. There was kildonan park, which is located very north side of winnipeg; it was very far from my homestay. First, we went to downtown, portage place, to take a #38 bus. we just searched this park just by using the internet, so we were little afraid that if we can find the park correctly or not. Anyway, we took a #38 bus. Finally, we got there although we had a little problem to find that park. There are so so so many people in kildonan park. Families, couples, and friends. Many people brought their dogs, so we thought that wow, here is real foreign country because in my country, Korea, Seeing people who run with their dogs is little difficult. we walked via path, and we sit on the lawn. what a nice weather! Red river was also almost melted. We took some pictures. The only short thing was there were no flowers and leaves because a few days ago, it was really cold. A few minutes later, suddenly, we were very hungry, so we thought we had to go now to eat something. When we went back, we also had a little problem; we took #77 bus, but I took almost an hour to get our destination. After we took the bus, we arrived A&W, which is famous hamberger restaurant in winnipeg. After eating, a huge number of sleep came to us. We felt really tired, but it was very good.  Last saturday was one of the awesome days in winnipeg.

SnowBoarding

     Last saturday, I went skiing with IEP students and activity leaders. It was the first time in Canada. when I was 16, I played snowboarding just one time. At that time, I fell down very very very many times, so I was afraid of it, but last weekend was different. Although time passed a lot, I remembered how to do snowboarding. I can use just back edge of snowboard. But, I enjoyed very well. I felt speed. One of my friends was not good at snowboarding, so I helped her. The weather was very hot as summer. I prepared many clothes, mittens, mask, and scarf. All of these things were useless. Anyway, it was a good experience, so I had a good time.
